1. Fees: Until the word gets out and Abruzzo becomes as famous as
Tuscany, we are
charging only 330 euros/week off-season and 430 euros/week in-season (during the months of July and August). We are not getting rich by renting out the house,
just trying to cover a few of our expenses.
Those renting the house are requested to do two things: 1) enjoy the experience and 2) be nice to the
house and the folks of Valle San Giovanni.
2. Length of Stay: Casale
is available on a weekly or monthly basis. Minimum
stay of one week. You can begin
and end your stay on whatever day you please. You should arrive during the opening hours of
Paolo’s store.
3. When you Leave: Just tidy
up a bit and leave the key with Paolo. The
linens do not need to be washed before you leave as they will be cleaned after
your departure.
4. Amenities: Dishes, pots, utensils are in the kitchen. Blankets, pillows and linen also included.
5. Heat and
Utilities: Water and
electricity are included. Utilities in Italy are very expensive and
guests are requested to be mindful of their usage. The hot water system, kitchen range, and
heating work with natural gas. This is supplied via a propane tank called
a “bombola.” Despite the name they are
not particulary dangerous. If you should
run out of gas you should contact Paolo and the first bombola (at a cost of
about 60 euros) will be purchased for you.
If you run out of gas a second time it is your responsibility to
purchase the next bombola. If you are
careful a bombola should easily last one month in the summer
and about 7-10 days during the colder months.
